Gruyere

Traditional, creamy, unpasteurized, semi-soft cheese. Gruyere is a type of Swiss Cheese named after the town of Gruyeres in Switzerland. The natural, rusty brown rind is hard, dry and pitted with tiny holes. Slightly grainy, this cheese has a wonderful complexity of flavours- at first fruity, later becomes more earthy and nutty. Great for French Onion Soup and fondue.
